I've done my research so I now understand why the stick needs to be plugged into the back of the tower - I just didn't want anyone to act the fool like I did when I thought the memory stick was broken. I'd thought about getting a larger, actual "drive" mini drivebut then datatarveler better about moving parts, and although those may be portable, I have to wonder about the life of them, being so portable and all.
